Bio
I feel for Black man's struggle. I do music that inspires black men to start and continue a relationship with Christ. I believe that this is done through constant prayer and studying the Word. My lyrics almost always begin with an interpretation of what the problems are. Then, I let the brothers know the source of redemption, relief, healing, and blessings. I was born in Detroit. Both my parents were singers. My dad sang base and my mom sang soprano. Shortly after my fathers death, my mother began singing in a gospel group named the Booker Productions. She also formed her own r&b group with my step father. I was at all the rehearsals. I fell in love with the harmonies and melodies both genres. During this time, Hip Hop was the new craze. Years past. I wanted to be a pro football player, but I always had a strong love for music. While in college I met the woman of my dreams. We married shortly after college and moved to St. Pete, Fl where my singing career began. After years of ignoring my singing skills, I joined the Mass and Mens choir at Bethel Community Baptist Church in 1999. It was there that I met Paul, Keith, and Jaylissa. Paul was looking for a male vocalist for a new group he had formed called Poetic Praise(later called Koinonia). It was then that my creative juices began to flow. I performed with Koinonia at several church functions. Soon after members began going their separate ways, I decided to continue spreading God's word through a combination of Gospel, Hip Hop, Soul and R&B.
