Bio
Ten year veterans of the Chicago music scene, Kong Fuzi's sound is a blend of 60's and 70's funk, New Orleans horns, soul and R&B, which they weave into signature vocal and instrumental grooves. The band performs covers by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Al Green, Sly and the Family Stone and others. The dance grooves, slick horns and hot vocals are sure to turn any occasion into a dance party.
KongFuzi has appeared at the Taste of Chicago, the United Center, the Navy Pier Beer Garden for Venetian Night, the Taste of Lincoln Ave and opened for Foghat at the Jefferson Park Festival. In addition to this, KongFuzi has performed at numerous reputable venues in the Chicagoland area including Martyr's, The Tonic Room, The Double Door, Fizz Bar and Grill, The Shire Public House, The Elbo Room, The Bottom Lounge, The Note, Wise Fools Pub, Hog Head McDunnas, The Wabash Tap, and Subterranean among others. The band has shared the stage with notable artists like The Benevento-Russo Duo, Buddha's Belly, Ordinary K, Diplomats of Solid Sound, New Math, Fly Williams, The Jesters, Hounds Way, and The Greyhounds.
