Jordan Isaacs – also known as Konq242 – brings a mix of Rap and Dubstep to The Bahamian music scene.

Since Highschool at Queen College, Isaacs showed an interest in the music industry.

Before returning back to The Bahamas to pursue his artistic “hobby” he calls it, for now, Isaacs obtained his Bachelors of Science and Masters in Medical Physics at University of West Indies’ Jamaica campus.

Isaacs shared with Eyewitness News Tuesday his road to releasing his first mixtape which he recorded at Duncuntown Studios.

Tonight, Konq242 will debut his 14 track MixTape during a listening party and video release along with other new Bahamian rappers.

The event starts at The Crew Pub Downtown at 7:00 p.m. - EyeWitness News

Bio

Born in New Providence, Bahamas. Jordan Isaacs was the 2nd out of the twins that came into the world on that March 3rd, 1992.

This Bahamian rap artist brings energy, honesty and little awkwardness to his live shows. Known to get the crowd involved, especially with his use of sarcasm, clever lyrics and the occasional shaking of dreadlocks.

But his story in terms of rap doesn’t start until he was about fourteen years old that a good friend of his decided to randomly start a freestyle battle with him. At first, Jordan didn’t know what to do he just did what his friend said and just rapped anything that came first to his mind. It was horrible, but he loved it. From there he decided he would write his raps down in his composition book. Poetry was easy to him (he has a poem published) so writing raps weren’t as difficult, but making the words flow on beat was a challenge.

He became more comfortable reciting his raps in front of his friends. He also performed that song which was entitled “Gatta Go Hard” that year at his talent show which for his first performance he did very well coming second place.

While schooling at the University of The West Indies KonQ performed in small venues for school events. Such as Rex Hall's Culture Show which also featured the likes of Chronix and Kabaka Pyramid.

KonQ worked himself back into the swing of things with music and has released a new single called “Riding In My Bubbla” which is about his 1997 Green Ford Escort, and anyone with an older car can relate. Followed by dropping his project R.A.D. in which he held a show at the Crew Pub for a venue of over 50 people to promote the project.
