Kooley Jones

KOOLEY JONES, born Taalib Schakor Harrell has been around music his entire life. Coming from a family full of singers, drummers & guitarist, it was quite obvious music was his calling. Writing and composing music came naturally to KOOLEY. Throughout middle & high school, KOOLEY would battle other rappers during lunch period and leave his peers in awe.

KOOLEY JONES hadnt always seen music as a career. Football was a sport that he was heavily involved in. In 2007, life changed. KOOLEY JONES & younger brother REE founded a rap group called 'Jump Squad' known as Jump Squad Ent. KOOLEY would go on strictly producing several local hits for his brother but he still had an urge to rock the mic.

In 2010, KOOLEY was contacted by an old aquintence, Ryan Breault, known as Ivy League, about possibly making some songs together. After several meetings and writing sessions, the two became close friends. Later in the summer of 2010, the two recorded and completed a 9 track EP entitled Rap Politics (this became the name of the EP because the two would sit and politick about the state of hip hop). Rap Politics was an EP filled with jaw-dropping punchlines from both rappers and it would solidify KOOLEY JONES as an m.c.
