Bio

Whip was born in Norwich, England October 10th 1985. He Moved to America in 1991 with his mother in hopes of a better Life.

Always being infatuated with hip-hop he ventured into Freestyling/writing music when he reached High School. Surprisingly, Whip didn't initially take Hip Hop seriously. He started his music career in 2006 as a member of a ROCK Band named "In My Words". He was a vocalist and played bass. He toured the entire East Coast, almost signing his first Major record deal before the band split up over differences.

Whip decided to pursue his original dream; hip-hop. From that point on he was on a mission! Dropping songs. He worked closely with a local producer, DJ THREAT of Track Magic Beats. Song after song, he grew as an artist, still not having a stage name. He finally dropped a song entitled "This Song" where he had used the term "KoolWhip", referring to his car. At that point in time it was mentioned to him that he should go with KoolWhip as his Stage Name! Not knowing then where music was going to take him Whip set out to show the World he would make it.

Only three months into his new career he had already worked with (at the time) two big names out of Orlando, J.Cash and TREAL. That was just the beginning! He then linked up with a new producer DJ SMOKETRICKS of TrackMagic Beats (DJ Threat's Production Partner). 'Smoke' saw the potential in Whip and decided they should start a group. That newly founded group consisted of JcoL, Smoketricks and KoolWhip; called Block Burner Ent. They had their first show at club FUSION ultra Lounge and continued doing shows for almost a year, when Whip decided it was time to focus on his solo career. He released his first mixtape, "Whip2Nite" hosted by DJ Threat, and inked his first deal in 2008 with NEW DIRTY ENT. Smoketricks continued to be Whips personal Producer. (Whip felt Smoke was the only producer that had the best fitting sound).

Whip went on to be nominated for Best New Artist of 2009 at the Orlando Hip Hop Awards. He also performed at the award ceremony. Whip then went on to drop his second mixtape, "Fish*N*Chips" hosted by THE ORLANDO MAGIC and 102 Jamz DJ E.T.. Throughout his two years of being signed with the ND camp he collaborated with, former ALL Pro artist, BEDO on a remix to Preachers Hit Single "A" co signed by DJ KHALED. then dropping his third mixtape, "Still Whip’N" hosted by MACHO, of the hit MTV show FROM G’s 2 GENTS.

Still focused on the big picture in late 2010, He decided to work with Si Money as a "Fly Kid".
"FLy KiD MuSic" was based out of UCF/Orlando, FL. Whip would bring on board his own team of hype men, promo team, and artists; Twitch, Slick Rick and Mista Mally. FlyKids artists included:
Si Money, KoolWhip, Falco Silva, Young Eas, Loafy, Brodie Jamyz, LiL Drew. They would go on to draw attention from all over the WORLD! From U.S.A, Great Britain, Brazil to Japan.

Warped Tour 2011 Whip & Yelawolf shared the Skull Candy stage in Orlando, FL also appeared that mulit different cities on the tour with his "Kool Like Whip" campaign & promoting his mixtape "Get Warped" available at datpiff.com NOW!!!

In early 2012, Koolwhip opened up for popular acts such as weed-legend Afroman, and Bad Boy Records' newest member: Machine Gun Kelly. He also inked a deal with a clothing designer, selling t-shirts with a cartoon image of Koolwhip, which spiraled into Whip getting his own Cartoon character; Lil' Whip.

After signing to a new management deal with Street Crumz/Ski Feet Entertainment, starting of the "first quarter" of 2012, Koolwhip has drawn interest from multiple MAJOR record labels, and is anticipating great opportunities with A LOT of big names in the industry. His name/music/brand is becoming more recognizable WORLD-WIDE. There was a one week period where Koolwhip released THREE professionally produced video's, which in turn created a buzz across all platforms. Including an appearance on WSHH.com (WorldStarHipHop). Koolwhip is the first Musician from North Lake County, FL to appear on the reknown website.

During the 2012 ALL STAR weekend in Orlando, FL Koolwhip was seen on stage along with 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, and French Montana at The Beacham. He also released a song on a StreetCrumz mixtape, which in turn was the hottest mixtape of the ENTIRE all star weekend, and for the entire industry overall.
