Punk Rock UK style. Drawing from the so-cal punk scene of the late 90s, Koopa flies the British flag in what is a genre dominated by American bands. Interesting lyrics, slick production and a high octane live show have won the band many fans around the world.

Biography

Koopa is a band that have gone it alone as an unsigned act for much of their career. Forming in 2002 when frontman Ollie Cooper was just 14 years old, the band has progressed from a pop/punk sound reminiscent of Blink 182 to the rockier, more edgy sound that is on display on their upcoming record Lies Sell Stories, co-incidentally produced by Mark Hoppus of the aforementioned Blink 182. The band gained recognition in the UK in 2007 for being the first unsigned band to have 3 top 40 singles, the last "The Crash" reaching number 16 in November.
