Biography:
Crossroads, AR(tha 71862)and also Reppin' North East El Paso, TX(tha 79934). Now currently Residing in Hope, Arkansas.
His Early Life:
Adrian Jones, artist and CEO of Laughing Target Media LLC was born in Hawaii in 1980 at Tripler Airforce Base in Honolulu. His father, James Jones, is a former Sergeant First Class of the United States Army and operated ground-air missile systems. The family moved frequently, living in Louisiana, Petersburg, Virginia, and Germany and El Paso, TX(where he first started to rhyme) and Hope, Arkansas in between, due to his father’s career requiring constant relocation. Korbin Pheenix stated that he was an outgoing, but an often misunderstood, child growing up. After completing high school in 1999, he spent a year working for a local steel plant and shortly after started building a studio in the middle of the country that would later become base of operations for his musical imprint and began writing music seriously in 2003.
As far as the name..
Korbin, taken from the fictional espionage character Michael Corbin played by Richard Greco in the movie “If Looks Could Kill” and Pheenix is from his favorite villain in a movie, Simon Phoenix played by Wesley Snipes in the movie “Demolition Man”. He said it symbolizes the darkness and light that exists within himself.
Musical Description:
He is known for his off-the-wall descriptive style, over-the-top humor and creative punch lines in an occasionally intricate epic rap delivery over groove heavy production.
Current Activities:
Currently seeking shows to promote the December, 28th 2010 release of his single "Garfield" B/W "Art of the Two-Piece" available now on itunes, amazon and emusic as well as collaborations with artists from other cutting-edge acts and producers. He is also working on his debut EP entitled "The Slit-Thoat" which features production from Artist, 5th Sequence(executive producer), DJPudgeMC, Big Mak and others as well as producing and writing music for the follow-up to the concept band, Exactoblade Riverdance Demo "No-L".
