Blue Pie is excited to announce that the Canadian singer and songwriter, Koreen Perry, has become the latest addition to the Blue Pie label of artists!
Like many of our music artists, Koreen knew from a young age that music was the path she was destined to pursue. Singing with Edmonton Musical Theatre as a teen, she learned she enjoyed singing as well as songwriting. However it wasn’t until after raising a family, that Koreen realized the performing bug wouldn’t leave her alone, and so, decided it was time to make her mark in the music industry. After training again with Cooper Studios and performing at many festivals and events, she gave songwriting another shot…and it paid off.
After getting the encouragement of a grant from RAWLCO Radio of Up 99.3 in Edmonton, Alberta, Koreen had produced her first CD "Turning Point". The album has her first originals; along with retro easy rock/pop style cover tunes, including jazz and country pop.
As a mother, house-hold chef, wife, singer and songwriter—Koreen Perry is the ultimate proof that nothing can stand in the way of pursuing one’s dreams and sharing your talent with the world. Koreen Perry's heartfelt vocals are the star here. "Face to Face" is a perfect track for her to shine, with this ballad of depth and hope. The follow up, "Turning Point", another tender ballad, meshes notes of adult contemporary, easy listening, and for good measure, a bit of country. The Ep is balanced nicely with the jazzy, pop-emo "Playing My Emotions" and the edgier, rocky "Law of Attraction". Overall, a nicely crafted group of electric calling card singles.

Canadian country-pop, folk-pop singer/songwriter Koreen Perry from Edmonton, Alberta, has two album releases to her name and several singles. Many of her original songs have been released to AC and Country radio across Canada.
Her latest EP “Evolved”! A pop-country cocktail of five original tunes. Four of these original songs from this EP has been released as singles as well to radio across Canada… country songs “Dreams In A Bucket” and “You Don’t Know Me.” Also folk-pop love tune “You & Me” most recently. “Lucky” previously released to AC radio. “See Through You,” although not released as a single, was a song featured in part of a film Koreen acts in – soon to be released “Breaking Spirits.” Several of Koreen’s original songs are incorporated in movies directed by Shaun Donnelley’s films “Gone By Dawn,” “Breaking Spirits,” and “Gone By Dawn 2.”
Koreen has been passionately involved in music and acting from an early age. In 2012 she produced her first self-titled CD with her first originals and covers consisting of a country-pop, retro-pop style and adult contemporary works. Singles folk-pop “Freeze Time” and pop-country tune “Lucky” were released shortly after. Other singles released is Christmas original song “When Everyone We Knew.” And a special tribute song to Canadian WWII veterans from the Hong Kong battle, “Forgotten Heroes.”
Koreen performs locally within Alberta, and has showcased at Canada Music Week and Country Music Week 2014.
