Koria Kitten Riot

Koria Kitten Riot - or Antti Reikko - released his debut album through Solmu Records in October 2009. During the year or so that followed, he played some 40 solo shows throughout Finland - the highlight of which must have been performing in front of a full house at Helsinki's legendary Tavastia club to support UK's Tindersticks.

A follow-up album, "The Lows & The Highs", will see the light of day on October 19th, 2011. In addition to Finland, the album will also be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. KKR has also transformed into a five-piece touring band - featuring past and present members of some serious Finnish indie contenders such as Traffic Island, Wojciech, On Volcano and Flannelmouth.

Select songs from the first, self-titled album were featured in TV shows as well as a feature film and received radio airplay from such stations as the Finnish National Broadcasting Company YLE and Radio Helsinki.

Both albums have been written and recorded by Reikko himself - influenced by DIY philosophy, classic pop aesthetics and the occasional weird twist and quirky sound, his songs are a manifestation against the sterility and lack of depth in modern music.
