Bio

Forged in a musical age of copycats, retro-pop nostalgia, tv contests, and corporate flavor of the month creations - a luminous independent musical visionary emerges.

Ko-Shin's innovative music weaves a rich tapestry of radiant sonic artistry that reverberates through the experiences of people everywhere. Her tales of love, loss, transformation & self-realization create a brilliant soundtrack for life's multi-colored journey.

"I write the music I am yearning to hear. I fearlessly say what I want to say, focusing on the poetic truths and hard-won realizations gathered from my life."

With a powerful collection of lush, provocative keyboard driven songs, reminiscent of the great music of the early 70's - Ko-Shin serenades her audiences - often inducing them into a trance, and sometimes bringing them to tears.

"After a show - people will come up to me and tell me what a journey the performance was, how it touched their soul. Its pretty wild seeing grown men cry. I think we need more passion and honesty in this world, and that is what people are responding to."

In her hometown of NYC, Ko-Shin has performed at many local clubs including: The Cutting Room, The Bitter End, Kavehaz, Cafe Vivaldi, Pete's Candy Store & The Alphabet Lounge with many stellar musicians including Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright), Jeff Hill ( Natalie Merchant, Paula Cole) & Cameron Greider (PM Dawn, Freedy Johnston).

She is excited about her upcoming EP release - in Summer 2007, and plans to tour the world, have her music playing on soundtracks, and be backed up by an orchestra. In no particular order!
