KOS (Knowledge Of Self)

I've been doing hip hop since the early 80's I grew up listening to Run-DMC and Soul Sonic Force. I became greatly influenced into hip hop about 1986 when I heard of the artist known as "RAKIM" formely of "Eric B & Rakim"! The way he did his rap and style with deep insight, smooth flow, no profanity showed me the way. I've always been influenced through the church being raised "Baptist" and having deep rooted gospel and spiritual beliefs. I am part of a group formed of me and my cousins which we fomed in the late 80's called the "Hard Heads". We've done every aspect of hip hop and were and still ahead of our time. However, I've made a decision to be more conscious of the effect my lyrics have on the listener and how influencial we are as artist and I want to make sure that I have a message in the music and that GOD can be glorified in it some how. Qoute " What good does it profit to gain the world and lose your Soul..?" So I believe the music I do can impact you in a way that you're not used to and you will hear all of my influences and hopefully be changed or look at life in general differently.
