The four-man Crew is comprised of long term friends, raised by musical families in Arima and Morvant, Trinidad . These men of God are building on the foundation of great ministers like Lester Lewis and Sherwin Gardner, and some of their musical influences include DCBeloved, Mr. Lynx, Prodigal Son, PaPa San, Royal PriestHood, Commission, Machel Montano, David Rudder, Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, Bunji Garlin, and Carmen. Their passion to encourage young brethren and snatch souls out of the kingdom of darkness was birthed in 2000 at Faith Life Ministries in Brooklyn , NY . The K.O.T.I.J Crew has made lifting up the name of Jesus a lifestyle, and God continues to propel them forward with new songs in their mouths.

Keep On Trusting In Jesus…The Big Man, is a combination of each man’s anointing and style. Whether its’ Rap, Soca, Chant or the melodic sounds of R&B, The K.O.T.I.J Crew excels in all. When asked about ministering through these styles of music, King exclaimed “it shows the freedom we have in Christ, freedom to worship God in any style or form as long as it gives glory and honor to His name!”

This debut album rocks the spirit of man with razor-sharp lyrics and satan-stomping beats. Soca and Reggae hits like, Who Save Yuh Soul? and Love Jah epitomize the ministry God has placed in their hearts. According to Slim one of their favorite hits is To the Hills because “the song was written from a deep, emotional place. In times of hardship, the only one we can cry out to is Jesus, and this song conveys that I am looking to God for my answer.” Keep On Trusting In Jesus…The Big Man features independent artists like Lazarus, and Manifestation of Praise and international Gospel artists Shelly Thunder and Sherwin Gardner.

K.O.T.I.J has ministered throughout the bout-it boroughs of New York and the tri-state area, winning souls at Churches, Clubs, charity fundraisers and Christian café’s.
