Kozminski

Fabrizio, Luca, Federico, and Marco—packaged by chance and the pale yellow wallpaper of a shared apartment in Milan, Italy, friendship developed quickly amongst these four strangers in the autumn of 2006. And not long after, the musical creativity of each one of the four combined to create a sound that has since been described as a “utopia of opposites.” This is Kozminski. We are Kozminski.

Our influences range from US/Eng indie rock to psychedelia: finally all is shaked by the Italian lyrics. Just to cite a few guys we love, we would say: badly drawn boy, wilco, yann tiersen, sigur ros, pink floyd, riccardo sinigallia, elliott smith, mars volta, gomez, enzo jannacci, moltheni, mansun, adriano celentano, coldplay, pearl jam, slayer, the smiths, arcade fire. They are not so few, actually.

For over a year we have been playing together, and have had the opportunities to play at different venues in Italy. Admittedly, we are rookies yet the response we have received has been quite positive. In fact, we recently got the encouraging 'Critics award' at Labaro Rock 2007 an emerging band festival in Roma.

At the moment we are also working to translate our songs into different languages (either English or Spanish) as our dream is to play and share our music with peoples in other part of Europe.
