KRafT - the German word for “Force, Power and Strength”
Bio:
KRafT (Dan Favill) who was born in Leicester and raised in Wolverhampton is a rapper, a musician and a poet.
KRafT’s use of rhyme and storytelling portrays not only an enthralling rollercoaster ride of events throughout his life, but captures the harsh reality of being almost thirty and male in modern society!
KRafT’s reflections on his experience; coupled with his social awareness, are expressed with poetic precision and demands the attention of the listener and/or reader, urging a deep and heartfelt response!
April 2011 was a turning point in his life when he woke up in the Intensive Care Unit at Walsall Manor Hospital. He had been unconscious for a week, after overdosing on alcohol, his lungs had collapsed and he had died in his sleep. He was resuscitated 3 times whilst in hospital. Following ongoing battles with depression and anxiety KRafT decided to portray his life experience in the form of song and rhyme.
KRafT has since composed, produced and recorded his debut album “Pushin’ On” which he intends to release in April 2012 (Another Life Records). His debut single “Continue The Push” taken from the album will be released and available on ITunes and all digital outlets from the 25/2/12. “Continue The Push” is the written reflection of the above mentioned experience.
KRafT spent time performing and perfecting his live performance throughout 2011 playing various open mic venues in and around Wolverhampton. He also played a local summer festival and secured a place in the Regional Semi final of Open Mic U.K. (Live and Unsigned), where he played at the NEC, Birmingham, in front of a panel of industry judges and a crowd in excess of 400 people. KRafT has also played a number of charity events; Liverpool’s “Save our Sue” benefit gig and also Wolverhampton’s “Macmillan Cancer research” fund raising event. He has also been aired on Flames Radio “The Panther Inc Radio Show “ and has received very positive feedback following this.
KRafT’s passion and love for music and the spoken word shines through in his music and lyrical style. For further information please contact KRafT on:
