Bio

Sacrifice, true kindred spirits, and tight-knit dedication are hard to find in many bands, even for those strong enough to strive well beyond basement practices and bar circuits. From their beginning in 2000, the Connersville, Indiana-based group Kramus has been on a steady path of growth helping to redefine the diversity, emotion, and influence of rock music in the USA. Kramus has emerged as one of the nations most promising unsigned acts. In 2007, Kramus consisted of Jeremy Lovins(Lead Guitar), Ryan Snoddy(Bass), Matt Ledford(Guitar, Vocals), and Johnny Harrod(Drums). The band had built a strong midwest following, sharing the stage with bands such as Saliva, Dope, Hurt, and Nonpoint. In early 2008, Kramus was invited out to Los Angeles, CA to record some tracks with long time music Industry maestro Mike “Cheez” Brown and Producer/Engineer Louis Richards from 17th Street Recording Studio (Sublime, Dirty Heads). Kramus had just finished the track “Pretty Boy” when tragedy struck. The band had lost their lead singer and long time friend Matt Ledford. He passed away on Feb. 1st 2008 and the remaining members did not know what to do or where to go from this point. After months of turmoil, the remaining members decided to push on. After a long process of trying out different musicians, the guys discovered the availability of the brothers, Rob and Aaron Sprowl (Formerly Blaknote and Sfumato) and knew they were a perfect fit for the band. The new line-up released their 1st EP “Embrace your Rage” in June 2009. In December of 2009, Kramus was contacted by Rock Producer Rick Beato (Shinedown, Trey Anastasio, Vince Neil) from Atlanta, GA to come down and record 2 tracks. Kramus recorded “The Sleaze” & “Down Below” with Rick and Engineer Ken Lanyon. Kramus recently released the single “Down Below” which is currently getting regular radio play in central Indiana. The band is preparing to head back to Atlanta to finish an EP. Kramus is regaining the respect of their old fans and gaining new fans with their incredible comeback story.
