"Various Press Quotes"

“Kris Shaw has a very likable stage presence that makes the audience feel comfortable and ready to laugh.”

- Brian T Shirley (The Triangle Variety Comedy Show)

“Kris is the new comedy voice of this generation. Hip, funny, and cool! He makes this stuff look easy!”

- Dwayne G (In a Review of “Two Birds, One Stoned”)

“With massive dreads and Brian Jonestown Massacre sunglasses, Shaw comes off like a Rastafarian Spider-Man burning through topics ranging from smoking to race. He mixes familiar topics with a comfortable, cool, alien stage presence built on long pauses and awkward glances.”

- Jay Whitecotton (San Antonio Current)

“…people can easily relate to Kris’ combination of talent and quick wit.”

- Nancy Millar (McAllen Texas CVB Blog)

“Over the past few months I’ve been shooting a documentary on the art of stand up comedy. Kris has been a big part of the project and I’ve gotten to know him as a comedian and a person. He’s outstanding on both fronts. I’m happy to have worked with him and I hope to continue our collaborative relationship.”

- Matt Wohl (Screenwriter / Filmmaker of “It’s Great to Be Here”) - Various Critics

Bio

It may just be a live microphone in a small spotlight, but when Kris Shaw steps up to it, the experience is unlike anything you’ve come to expect from stand up comedy.

Kris is a storyteller who, with quick bursts of wit and carefully crafted silences, keeps the audience engaged through everyday observations and tough topics alike. His slightly askew but loveable style disarms and charms from the first set-up to the final punch line. There isn’t so much as a hint of meanness in his spirit, and that good energy spills onto the stage and beyond. You will find yourself laughing out loud, delighted at how easily you relate to this uniquely funny guy.

Kris is a fan favorite who tours comedy clubs, colleges and events all across the United States and Canada. He has entertained troops in Iraq, Kuwait, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia and Africa. Kris also appears in national television commercials and had a recurring extra role on the CBS drama “Close To Home”.
