Bio
Krister Axel has been writing and performing roots and blues music for 20 years, making his way from Paris to Los Angeles. In the end of 1999, Krister began to put his electric piano and his accordion to good use with a number of local and international artists.
Krister Axel has a unique style of singing, described by fans as a sort of Bill Withers meets Jamiroquai. He is a self-taught musician who started on the piano and eventually discovered the acoustic guitar.
Krister Axel claims Chris Whitley as the greatest influence on his writing.
Laurence Tolhurst (drummer for the Cure 1976-1989) said after seeing Krister perform - [Krister Axel] sounds like a young Elvis Costello. - Oct 25, 2005
