"SEE Magazine"

"The power of (Kristia's) voice has an edge and a depth that makes her music unique. She sings of love lost, love unfilled and broken hearts…

leaving the listener yearning for more of her, and no one else."
- Warren Footz

"Mosaic Internet Radio"

"A deep, sensuous, dark, decadent piece of chocolate for your ears."
- D.J. Stylo

"The Vancouver Province"

"Brooding and self-consciously elegant." - Tom Harrison

"The Discorder"

"Have this baby ready with candles and white wine next time your voice personals mailbox fills up." - Dale Sawyer

"Monday Magazine - August 2005"

Better break out the candles and cobwebs when you slide this tasty disc into your player. This second release by Vancouver-based indie folk noir singer-songwriter Kristia Di Gregorio is just drenched in atmosphere of the decidedly moody-jazz variety. Strongly supported by husband Tony Di Gregorio's deft guitar work, Kristia's husky voice (apparently the result of a prolonged bout of pneumonia) is reminiscent of San Francisco noir queen Jill Tracy .... or a particularly gothy night by Norah Jones: thick with the breathy humidity and decaying eroticism of old (and pre-hurricane) New Orleans.

It's too bad Buffy is off the air as Di Gregorio would be an ideal voice for any vampire bar. But more than just goth sensuality, Di Gregorio clearly knows how to spin a good song - "Leslie" is a great track that you wouldn't hesitate to turn up, and Any Given Night as a whole moves along to a great shuffle beat. (Nice spooky, cello-laden version of "House of the Rising Sun," too.)

- John Threlfall

"Accident Hash"

"This girl’s got this amazing sexy, smoky, sultry jazz voice…
I promise you that once you hear her voice you will never forget it! If you do... well you've got issues.
This is a CD you can put in your collection and it’s guaranteed to make babies for you someday!"
- C.C. Chapman

The Whiplash Curve (in production) - to be released late 2013

Any Given Night - 2005

Songs for the Fallen - 1996

"Suitors deemed unseemly... born out of time, far too late to get out of line... one hundred years to be misunderstood'. My ears usually concentrate on lyrics later on, but this story of 'borrowing trouble', 'opening shutters' and 'flirting with the girls' has me dialed in. Imagine Laura Marling having an out of wedlock child with Lhasa de Sela and you'll be right inside the atmosphere of this recording. I've never heard Kristia sing with this sort of elegant strength. She's not EMOTING like so many other modern female singers. Nope, this is honesty. Her melodies float like Lee Konitz playing a solo ballad and she falls off her phrases with the delicacy of Gil Evans regrettably walking away from a lover who was pressing him for more of his time."

- Von Loewen on 'Painted by Boldini'- Independent Promoter

A honeyed voice honed on Canadian folk tunes and jazz standards... Kristia's original songs are drawn from a deep well of personal experience and historical significance. There is the story of the time she cheated death and was plucked out of a raging river by her beloved father who died a few months after; the years of living on a sailboat with her books and her cat; the years of strange coincidence living beside a brothel. She will tell you the secret stories behind paintings and of ghosts and unlikely connections. She will tell you there is meaning in everything... and you will believe her.

Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2006 Vancouver Island Music Awards. Kristia has shared the stage with such artists as The Paperboys, Lily Frost and Kinnie Starr. She has been featured on the Grrls with Guitars album series (Maximum Music / Universal Music Canada) alongside Coco Love Alcorn, Po* Girl, and Christa Couture. Kristia has showcased at Music West, the Western Canadian Music Awards, and Canadian Music Week, and she has performed at The Queen Elizabeth Theatre, The Orpheum, and The Vogue Theatre. Kristia is in the studio working on her follow-up to Any Given Night. Produced by Joby Baker (Cowboy Junkies, Mae Moore, Alex Cuba) The Whiplash Curve is set for release in late 2013.

"The power of Kristia's voice has an edge and a depth that makes her music unique. She sings of love lost, love unfilled and broken hearts… leaving the listener yearning for more of her, and no one else."
