Kristi Jo is a singer with something to say. Her heartfelt lyrics and jazz-based guitar playing effortlessly create a perfect balance that will open your mind and capture your heart.

Releasing her first full-length album while she was still in high school. Now 25, she continues to write songs and perform around Los Angeles in hopes of making a life of music. She has had the pleasure of working with producers Val Garay and David Malloy and performing at popular venues like House of Blues, Hotel Cafe, The Roxy, The Viper Room, The Key Club, The Knitting Factory and The Derby, among others.

“I’m trying to bring back the tradition of folk music from an older generation and then give it a new sound”, she said. “My songs are structured like folk songs with a pop influence, and that’s where I like to be”. Kristi Jo finds inspiration in the day-to-day aspects of life. Her songs are packed with emotion and feature an eclectic mix of mellow rock, pop and folk influences that blend with her deep, soulful voice. Her first album has already attracted a lot of attention from music industry insiders, who compare her to artists like Sheryl Crow and John Mayer.

Kristi Jo started taking interest in guitar at the age of 12. Soon after she began to study jazz and earned herself a spot in the Orange County High School of the Arts Big Band and Jazz Combo I. Currently, Kristi Jo is attending the University of Southern California studying Music Industry at the Thornton School of Music.

“I’ve been in this business for 40 years and when that girl walked into my office and sang me some songs, I couldn’t believe what I heard. She is the real deal”, said manager Eddie Wenrick. “She is 21 years old with 50 years of musical knowledge. She has a command of the language. I consider her a remake of one of the classic artists along the lines of Joni Mitchell.”
This young, talented singer-songwriter is sure to become one of the strongest voices of her time.
