Bio

Kristina Supergenius is an electronic experimentalist from NYC. The name is an anagram of an unpronounceable last name. She has played venues such as SubTonic, Knitting Factory, Rare/Baktun, Lunatarium, Third Ward, Decompression, BurningMan, Queens Museum of Art, Supreme Trading and various undergound venues in Williamsburg and DUMBO, Brooklyn. Composing music and deconstructing (cleared) samples for longer than she'd care to admit, the music is a blend of Electronic beats and Space Rock drones with occasional Gamelan scales and ethnographic field recordings thrown in for good measure.
Compared to: Boards of Canada, Amon Tobin, Massive Attack, FourTet, Sonic Youth, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Sneaker Pimps, Portishead, Muslimgauze
