When I listen to Kris’s music, I can actually feel her soul. Her soul and her spirit shine through her music. She is singing from her heart and I can definitely feel the love radiating off of her. A lot of people just sing to sing and have no idea what the words mean, but Kris writes all of these words and I know that she understands and means everything coming out of her. As I am listening to her new CD her voice is calming and has a sense of familiarity to it. I know that Kris is very connected to John Denver and you can hear that in her music. Her lyrics are simple and easy to relate to because she speaks of the commonness within us all :) I hope that makes sense :) I really like the song "Just Breathe"! Kris Voelker is a singer, songwriter, performer, and a visionary. Her music has touched the hearts and souls of New Thought audiences nationwide.
Currently performing as a music team member at Longmont Unity Church in Longmont Colorado, Kris uses her inspirational lyrics and melodies to guide you to a place within that allows you to see the truth of who you are. Her music lifts your soul and heals your mind as your body receives the validation of the healing through goose bumps, tears and an open heart. Kris also performs as a guest musician at many Unity/New Thought churches throughout the Denver Metro area.
Kris is a creator at heart and enjoys writing songs specifically for events. She partnered with spiritual teacher Sunny Dawn Johnston to create the theme and music for her 2007 World Angel Day. She has also accompanied Sunny on healing retreats providing the musical backdrop needed to promote healing from within. In addition, Kris supports the Denver Six Sensory group by providing music. She wrote the theme song "We're The Denver Vibe Tribe."
Kris believes there is a great need for music that supports higher consciousness and
personal empowerment. Kris’ music creates a space that allows you to open up to your greatest potential and to dream the dreams of your inner self. It is filled with hope and inspiration and her lyrics and melodies linger with you long after the performance has ended.
