Marking the return of the Kris Youmans Band, and with it comes traditional COUNTRY music (*caps added for proper old-school clarity) , complete with soulful steel guitar licks played by a barefoot man of steel. Kris Youmans and her mighty trio were our guests at the Bunkhouse. WINNER! 2016 Georgia-country Awards Traditional Country Artist ...Kris Youmans' music has been Influenced by coastal country living & Northwest Georgia' roots. Kris' band members are considered some of the best in the area, playing originals & authentic tunes from the era of Hank Sr.& Ernest Tubb, which really adds "icing to the cake". Kris was a finalist in 2015 for Female Vocalist of the Year through Georgia-Country.com. The Band's CD Slim Take Me Dancing was nominated in the 2015 IMEA Awards for album of the year. Kris hosts a successful singer/songwriter show locally called Newnan Unplugged. She is also co-coordinator for NSAI locally, and encourages & supports local songwriters.
