"See Magazine"

Vancouver seems to be producing a new breed of bands, and Alberta seems to be appreciating them. Krome has found their way onto the Alberta scene with their music being played here in Edmonton as well as almost every other station around us.”
“Krome…..is a sophisticated mix of tightly structured harmonies, deep guitars, and dark, often brooding melodies that interchange with bright, ethereal chorus hooks.”
You can catch Krome at the SideTrack Café on Wednesday Oct 8th. - M

"YouthInk Paper"

“I love this CD, it isn’t like everything else we are hearing right now. I like every song on the album, and that is rare because it seems that every CD you buy has only one or two good songs on it. I highly recommend this CD if you like hard music with good melodies.” You can pick up the CD at stores across the country and catch their video on Much Music, (if you watch that kind of thing) - k

Bio

Krome slices through the muck with razor-sharp lyrics and soul-bleeding sonics. The band's heavy, melodic music and musicianship are already making waves in all the right circles.
Krome instantly attracted industry heavyweight Bobby Gale (broke Matthew Good Band, Moist etc), the most sought after radio promoter in Canada. After hearing Krome’s CD Bobby immediately agreed to promote the bands first single, and with one look at the charts it's evident that Bobby knows a hit when he hears it. Krome’s single “Acknowledge” recently started to shoot up the charts and as of Oct 29th the song reached #18 in BDS Francophone Top 50 Radio Chart, and #14 in Top Pop/Rock Quebec Charts. Krome has also received rotation ranging from heavy to light in stations like Quebec (CHOI), Verdun (COOL FM) Ottawa (X-FM) Edmonton (The BEAR), Red Deer (ZED-FM), Lloydminster (The Goat), Peterborough (The WOLF), Kelowna (Power 104), and Kamloops (98.3CIFM), and has had (and continues to have!) significant features in almost major radio market across the country.
The second single, and title track of the full-length CD, Neglected will be released in the new year to follow up the success the band has already received from their first single. Krome plans to continue working with Bobby Gale for both radio and video promotion for the single, and will be touring heavily to promote their debut CD.
For the record, Krome consists of 4 guys who have the uncanny ability to write songs that are commercially accessible while maintain an uncompromising rock edge. The band is the brain-child & vision of Shawn Meehan, (singer/guitar player) who assembled a line-up of solid players, including; the lively stage persona of Vancouver bassist Ted Moore, Drummer Doug Grant and second guitarist Jesson Nelson, who together have developed the sonic attack that make up Krome’s live show.
