Katrina (K-Rose) Tandy

At Only 16 Years Old K-Rose maintains the titles:
Vocalist/Songwriter/Dancer/Choreographer/Model/Actress.

This dynamic performer has been seen and heard throughout her hometown of South Florida since she was old enough to walk.

Katrina Rose Tandy was born in Miami Florida, is the youngest of 5 children, and the only girl in a very musical family. Starting in her pre-teens, she had the fortune to perform in Singapore, New York, LA, all over Florida and more, as a solo artist as well as in groups, for TV and Radio commercials, Music videos, voice-over and lead/background vocal recordings and numerous live dance/vocal performances.

Katrina performed live vocals with Herbie Hancock on a song from his Future 2 Future CD, as well as shared the stage with several other accomplished local musicians.
As lead vocalist with her former group, Evidence, she released a CD, performed live all over the world and even opened for teen sensation Chris Brown soon after his career took off.
She is currently one of the lead singers on a project with the group "Anything But Monday" produced by the original founder of Ruffhouse Records, Stephen Stone, with which she also appears on a music video and an episode of their upcoming reality TV show.
She was recently cast as leading lady in Kevin Lyttle's Music video-'Fyah', dancer in the Kardinal Offishall/Keri Hilson, 'Numba 1' music video, and lead dancer in the live TI 'Live Your Life' concert with Charles Reed.

Katrina has a very distinct sound of her own.
Her vocal styles include Pop-R&B-Techno-Rock-Classical & Jazz, which has not only influenced her vocal sound, but she also sings songs in these styles when an event calls for it.

As a songwriter, Katrina loves to create songs that reflect realistically what she and her friends are going through and experiencing.
One of the songs she wrote, "Ima Do Me", was recently licensed and used on the TV show "The Single Monica" airing in Atlanta.

An advocate for songwriters, Katrina is in the process of becoming a spokesperson for 'Music Rules' a program that she plans to join forces with to bring awareness and respect for intellectual rights of songwriters to students.

Katrina learned to play a little piano and violin and even knows her way around production and recording studio controls, having studied Commercial Music with Israel Charles.

Recently, Katrina changed her stage name to K.ROSE when she decided to extend herself as a solo performing artist.

K.ROSE has a unique flair that permeates the room whether she is on the stage alone or in a large group.
Her dance style is also unique....a combination of Hip Hop, Pop n Lock, breakdance, jazz and lyrical, She will not hesitate to dance in almost any style that is given to her. Not long ago, she won Gold & Silver Medals for the United States in the International World Hip Hop Dance Crew Competition!
“Dancing is not only my art form or a way to express my emotions creatively, but also a way to keep physically fit.”

Currently K.ROSE is working on her own original solo album, entitled "FEAST", where she will join her vocal and writing forces with several local Musicians and producers, including her favorite producer & youngest brother, Richard 'CAVEMAN' Tandy - a powerhouse local producer not to be taken lightly!

Another neat quality is Katrina's desire to 'give back' to her community. She has recently joined the fight for the research and cure for breast cancer after her mother was diagnosed with Breast cancer in Nov 2008.

Katrina K.ROSE Tandy is focused and driven - serious, yet loves to laugh. She has a 'grown up' work ethic with a knack for multitasking.
She is a creative, caring, sensitive, and self-motivated young lady who has clearly emerged as a teen 'stand-out' in the local Entertainment world.
