"Krystye Dalton"

"With a sound that's equal parts The Band and Miranda Lambert, Krystye Dalton concocts an energetic and rootsy noise that doesn't quite fit into country music's well-worn mold but also doesn't seem to have a home anywhere else. Led by her commanding vocal presence, she roars through her songs with all the force of a back roads tornado, leaving the area broken and scattered in its wake. She borrows liberally from a certain vein of outlaw country but in a sly and subtle manner. This isn't the kind of mindless country music that so often permeates the radio; this is something altogether different. And through this amalgamated influence, Dalton transcends her inspirations to create something completely refreshing."

"Chattanooga's Live Music Scene - The Krystye Dalton Band"

Chattanooga’s Live Music Scene – Krystye Dalton Band
Friday, September 16, 2016 - by Bob Payne

"Things have been hitting on all cylinders lately, and a trip to Bike Night at Bud’s Sportsbar last Wednesday proved to be no exception. The Krystye Dalton Band was playing on the patio for the huge crowd of motorcycle riders and enthusiasts.

Let me first say that Krystye may be the most energetic singer of all times. She rarely stops dancing and bouncing and kickboxing. I left Bud’s needing a nap after watching her. She is exciting to say the least. She is also one of the nicest human beings one could ever meet. Always with a big smile, Krystye doesn’t know a stranger.

Her band normally has Tyler Southern on lead guitar, Cody Bunch on bass guitar, Demarland Dean on drums, and Krystye on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. On this night, Chris Deal was sitting in on drums. If Chris, Cody, and Tyler sound familiar, it is because they are also from the very successful Remembering January Band.

Krystye covers a wide variety of popular songs, plus has written a few herself. They have been in the studio recording for the past few weeks. With her enthusiasm bubbling over and the incredible talent with all of the band members, this is a band you definitely want to see live.

One thing that was notable and very cool – When Krystye took a break, she let the band do a few songs without her. The Remembering January folks are “interchangeable” at most of the positions. Tyler, the lead player, played bass guitar. Cody went to drums, and Chris went to lead vocals and guitar. When it came time in the song for the lead guitar break, Chris nodded to Tyler to take it. Now, this is neat – Tyler played the lead guitar break on the bass, but played as though it was a lead guitar. The Bud’s patio went nuts and loved it.

One thing I would say about Krystye and her band. The crowd got into them like crazy. I mean to tell you, they really liked this band. And, for good reason, I may add. Check out the band at https://www.facebook.com/KrystyeDaltonBand or http://www.krystyedalton.net

I have said it before and I will say it again – this town has some incredibly talented musicians and they need your support. Go out and catch a live show at a place near you.

I’m back!"

KRYSTYE DALTON-

Krystye and her band bring a rock / soul explosion to the stage!

Originally from Phil Campbell, Alabama, Krystye grew up listening to the famous sultry sounds of Muscle Shoals recording artist such as Aretha Franklin, Etta James, The Rolling Stones and The Wicked Wilson Pickett. These artists still inspire her musically and you can feel them in every one of her songs. With her energetic stage antics and prolific song writing she mesmerizes audiences of all ages with her sweat and soul. Often described as the vocal marriage of Janis Joplin and Otis Redding with the stage presence of Mick Jagger, she never disappoints with her amazing performances. Currently Krystye is working on her new album due out this November. Along with her band, Tyler Southern, Cody Bunch and Chris Deal, Krystye is playing venues all across the south.
