Rock/Pop sensation Ks Rocks is a New UK Rock Band breaking into the UK/USA Music Industry!!! With a powerful voice, passionate attitude and song writing since the age of 11, Ks Rocks is here to make some noise!!! Her latest two singles Guess Whos Back? (Rock/Pop Version) and Guess Whos Back? (Pop Version) are now available on I Tunes, Amazon.com, Spotify & CD Baby .com.
Born in 1986 with mixed British, Indian and Caribbean heritage, Ks Rocks (known as Karina Stephens) grew up listening to an eclectic mix of rock and pop which included the music of Bon Jovi, Queen, U2, Aerosmith and Oasis alongside Tina Turner and Michael Jackson; these have been her key musical influences.
Singing and performing since the age of six, Karina was classically trained by Lucy McClary at the Conservatoire in Blackheath, London - accepted on talent alone, even though she was one year under the submissions age. Becoming a member of Blackheath's Youth Classical Choir group was a natural step in this young singers career. She also performed at local venues including the Royal Festival Hall and Blackheath Concert Hall.
During her time with the Youth Classical Choir, Karina sung on Mike Westbrookes classical album Glad Day which was recorded at the Wembley music studios in London. Glad Day was a UK top ten success story and also became popular in Europe. During the recording of Glad Day, Karina met with Kate Bush who loved Karinas voice and gave the young singer incredible encouragement.
"I would love to inspire all women in every generation who enjoy music and feel confident enough to sing, feel sexy about themselves and just have lots of fun."
At the age of 16 Karina joined the Footlights Youth Theatre where she trained for a further two years and performed at the Mick Jagger and Bob Hope theatres. Ks Rocks has been acknowledged twice as the star to watch out for by the South London Press Newspaper and Lewisham Homes magazine.
Ks Rocks has recently performed at prominent venues in London including; The Barfly, The Comedy Club, The Fiddlers Elbow, The 12 Bar Club & Greenwich Olympics Music Festival.
