Bio

Kuartzo made their first album “Cabalgando Mariposas” (Riding Butterflies) in the year of 2000, in an independent way (no record labels). In this album, every single member of the band put his musical knowledge, acquired during previous experiences.
The promotion of that work gave them the opportunity of share stages with famous national and international artists such as Ricardo Arjona, Mana, Caramelos de Cianuro, Malanga, Servando y Florentino, Jeremias among others.
In November 2004 they finished their second album called “Unas Canciones Ahi” (Some songs over there) but now with a Venezuelan Record Label: “Suramericana del disco”. In this Album they combined humor, Romantic lyrics an Rock ‘n’ roll
There are 14 tracks on this album. “El Burrito Sabanero“ (a cover folk song from Hugo Blanco) got good positions in Colombian charts, “El Peor momento” (second single from this album) meant their first appearance in Venezuelan Record Report, and the filming of first Kuartzo’s video clip. (Number one in Puma TV video channel)
In the year of 2005, the production team of Venevision (the most important TV Channel from Venezuela) selected one of Kuartzo’s songs “Y Ya!” as a soundtrack in their successful TV series called “El amor las vuelve locas” (Love drives girls crazy) starring by the famous Venezuelan actress Marisa Román
Recently, Kuartzo played in different TV shows for Rctv, Globovision and at some local tv channels all over the country
The video clip of the song “Respirar” (last single extracted from their second album) made them win many important awards such as A mention by the Celarg as the Best Venezuelan Rock Video and The 2007 “International Mara de Oro”
Kuartzo is working right now in their third album, “Victima de la moda” (Victim of the fashion), and promoting the first single and video from this record “Amor Antonimo”
