Appreciated as both musician and performer,Kunle has the dual personae of an incredible guitarist and vibrant entertainer. He has always placed his keenly discerning art in the service of a rousing good time.
A few might have predicated that striking stardom some few years ago when kunle played with internationally acclaimed Lagbaja, a program presenter and actor on few Nigerian movies.
In 2002 he began solo career and later changed his address and moved to south Africa.
Kunle's debut album entitled Ayo a Yuroba word for joy unleashed his creativity brilliantly.It painted a picture of genesis on a journey that seemed not to have any ending in sight...
His follow up album Beyond the Boarders, won him KORA Award as the Best male Artist from West Africa and a nominee of the CHANNEL O Awards 2005.His Performances on stages with legends bare testimony of growth and has revealed a full scope of his artistry. Kunle does not play for the people but plays with the people.
His newly released album Sincerely Yours is a confirmation of what the self taught guitarist
said three years back "When I touch my trusty instrument,ideas for music just come flooding
like a river".
Sincerely Yours is a composition of Jazz Ballads,Up-tempo Afro jazz and a little bit Afro Beat Popularized by the late Fela Kuti.Kunle combined tried-and-tested sounds with his own seasoning to yield fresh,beautiful tunes.
