Kurt Martinez has made an effective entrance to the UK music scene with the release of his acclaimed debut full-length release, The Idiots Guide to Breaking Hearts, available to download now from iTunes. Earning a reputation performing live across the country Kurt has developed an enthusiastic and loyal online following.
Since embarking on his solo journey Kurt has fought off over a hundred competitors to find himself in the final five of the 'Future Sound of Nottingham', a competition which gave him the chance to perform to hundreds in the city centre and at the award winning Rock City. This recognition helped Kurt in receiving airplay on BBC Radio, from which he was given the opportunity to attend the BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London. Kurt has even received mention in NME Magazine.
Kurt's hugely anticipated debut music video, Please Don't Stay Away, was released in the Summer of 2012. The video was play-listed on Clubland TV and featured in new music discovery platform, FameTube's, Top 10 throughout October. This resulted in Kurt providing tour support of number one selling artist, Sam and the Womp.
Kurt is currently recording his follow-up EP, #DanceAllNight, as well as an acoustic release which will feature alternate versions of previously released works.
