Bio

Entering the world as a professional DJ in late 2008, Kush has played at various locations in Toronto and has opened for the likes of Kahil El Zabar, Brownman, Whaleed Kush, Quartier Latin and Njacko Backo

Kush plays with a “bounce” in his musical selections, which keeps the crowd moving and inciting wallflowers to move. Kush is known for his eclectic mix of up beat

In 2009, Kush created the Upendo Movement. Upendo—Raw & Psychedelic Afro Sounds is a musical movement that follows the paths of Afro-fusion rhythms around the world, and aims to bridge traditional and modern communities through music. UPENDO is a Swahili word meaning LOVE. Upendo appreciates Afro rhythms and how these rhythms play into popular music today.

Through afro-infused music, Upendo strives for harmony and it has become a platform for artists from all over the world who want to showcase their work. Upendo's stage has seen the likes of Telmary Diaz, Aria Muzik, Kaysha Lee, Ogguere, CityFolk, Crossword and Nicola Nyx Songbird to name a few.

In June 2011 Kush Launched Àjôyõ (TM). Àjôyõ (TM) Is an event focused on Afro Deep house, Afro Soulful House, Afro/Latin/Brazilian Break Beat and live percussion, dance and at times some brass accompaniment.

Àjôyõ - in Yoruba means party. This is what Àjôyõ (TM) "ancestral movement" events are about. Getting loose to Afro infused house and dance music.

With all the blessings Kush has received he sees the value of giving back In early 2010, Kush took part in the Music is the Answer charity event. This event was to raise money for Haiti relief efforts. This is one area Kush plans to continue to offer his talents.

Today, Kush continues to deliver to the world the message of oneness through music via his weekly radio show F∆HW3RD™ "World In One City" Radio show - Sundays 11pm - 1am EST on www.i-Liveradio.com.
