New Directions in Acoustic Music

Biography

A myriad disparate influences, years of ascetic-like dedication to craft, and the passion of a musical crusader, Kyle Corbett's desire is to deconstruct the current culture of music as wallpaper in order to rebuild the fire that sound is able to produce within us all.

Playing guitar since the age of three and having cut his teeth with some of the industry's top producers in New York's recording studios, Kyle has developed new forms, new sounds, and even a new tuning to help deliver the good word.

Lyrics

Again the Ruthess Stone

Written By: Kyle Corbett*

We, all so grateful for God's grace
So high up on dry land
Sunrise, sunset, fade away
Fallen brethren here the same

Among us, sinners, hustlers and saints
Searching for a new world
Winter's cold so yields Spring buds
Just is ours in cause

Again the ruthless stone rolled down to the plain

We, all so thankful for mercy
The light in dark times
Of one thing we dream
To live and think free

Inside the memory of the loss
Alarm stirs winds in these fields
Great Spirit howls loudly these days
To shepherd this land he trusts

Again the ruthless stone rolled down to the plain

Where the mind is without fear
And the head held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world is not of ideas
And words spring from the depths of truth
Where reason and charity have not lost their way
Into that heaven of freedom
Father, let my country awake

Again the ruthless stone rolled down to the plain

We, all so grateful for God's grace
So high up on dry land
Sunrise, sunset
Fade away
