“I’m not gonna lie to you, they’re just songs. Song songs. Story songs. No grand message. No big secrets. Just songs for you to hum while you’re thinking about something else. Maybe while you’re walking somewhere or going to see someone. I’m not gonna tell you what to do with ‘em.”

Biography

Kyle Evans is a young musician who knows what he needs. He doesn’t need a new guitar, still plays the one given to him on his 13th birthday – and it works just fine. He likes how his songs sound in an empty house. Says this inspire him to use time wisely. He doesn’t consider himself a singer-songwriter. However, he does write songs and he does his best to sing them.

When he should’ve been listening to Metallica, Nirvana and everything else an early 90’s angsty-kid should, he was checking out his Mum’s K-Tel records and artists like Tommy James and the Shondells and The Beatles.

Kyle’s had most of his live performance seasoning in The Lighthouse Choir. The Choir garnered much internet love and were featured at Halifax Pop Explosion and several other festivals. After all the shows and celebration, Kyle decided to simplify. Sometimes it’s tough to make music you love with people you love. Alas, Kyle parted ways with the Choir and was free to pursue his own musical ventures.
With support from his new label, refreshed vigor and the prospect of a demo, Kyle’s in the perfect position to make waves in 2008. Plans for the demo are well underway with the help of his record label / management firm, Company House Records.
