BandAlternativeSinger/Songwriter

I sing from the heart and enjoy traveling through all types of musical genres.

Biography

I grew up always wanting to play my father's guitars to emulate the sound he always had coming out of his home stereo speakers. Whether it was The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Tom Waits, or Yes it all had a central feeling, which to me felt like love. I would sneak into his room and take his guitar while he was at work all day and play as best as I could and really began to grow a fondness and appreciation for music and all of it's many styles. I have been playing music and writing songs for about 13 years now. I can't wait to see what the next 13 years and beyond hold for me.

Lyrics

Trouble

Written By: Kyle Harmicar

Son, why do you lay your head so low?
It should be much higher,
Just like every single rolling stone,
Won't gather moss, it just creates fire,
A song won't compose itself of notes,
Without a meaning or a desire,
And every time you hear a song I wrote,
I pray that you'll be inspired...

Cause livin' just ain't right,
Without a little trouble,
And that's fine by me I swear,
Life won't play fair,
But I'm not scared...

Sometimes I feel like I am moving slow,
The world, it spins much faster,
I used to fall in love with the radio,
Before it became a disaster,
And now I'm chasing after the echoes,
Of a sound my forefathers mastered...

Cause livin' just ain't right,
Without a little trouble,
And that's fine by me I swear,
Life won't play fair,
But I'm not scared...

I saw a man with half of his face gone,
Speak more truth than a woman with all her jewelry on,
He spoke of life as a tale in dreams,
Couldn't be any happier for what he'd seen,
Took the good with the bad and came up clean,
Yeah the beauty of life lies in the seams,
Of the puzzle we race to complete,
Before time runs out, before we grow weak,
And if you soldier on,
You'll find that life is but a song,
Filled with words you were born to sing...

Cause livin' just ain't right,
Without a little trouble,
And that's fine by me I swear,
Life won't play fair,
But I'm not scared,
Life won't play fair,
But I'm prepared...

Golden

Written By: Kyle Harmicar

They say life is good,
But I think that it's golden,
I'm gonna scream it from my lungs,
Till I can get where I'm goin',
And it might sound rude,
But don't forget what you told them,
You're gonna make some mistakes,
You can't learn without growing...

Cause every Saturday night,
When you're out with your best friends,
The rules don't apply,
A weekends a weekend,
Is that how you wanna live your life?

I was just waitin' on the sun to set,
One last chance,
One that you won't soon regret,
Hey babe, what are you waiting for?

Is it understood?
Words don't need to be spoken,
You catch a clever turn of phrase,
Interpretation is open,
And you act so smooth,
Without eliciting emotion,
If I could be more like you,
I'd stop running through the motions...

I was just waitin' on the sun to set,
One last chance,
One that you won't soon regret,
Hey babe, what are you waiting for?

If all you need is love,
Where does this hatred sprout from?
I wanna breathe again,
Take me through the steps, my friend,
Walking backwards on both hands,
Turn that boy into a man,
I just wanna breathe again,
I think I lost where I began...

But I never could have been,
Anything other than myself...

I was just waitin' on the sun to set,
One last chance,
One that you won't soon regret,
Hey babe, what are you waiting for?

I was just waitin' on my plane to catch,
One last chance,
Girl you better make it fast,
Hey babe, what are you waiting for?
