Bio
If it seems like Kyle Lucas is all over the place, it’s because he is.
A punk kid from Marietta, Georgia raised on a steady diet of Less Than Jake, Blink 182, and Coheed & Cambria. However, like most kids growing up near the home of Outkast, Kyle couldn’t escape his love for hip-hop. At 15, Kyle began rapping and later found a way to blend his all-over-the-place tastes in music. He formed Vonnegutt, a punk/hip hop/dance hybrid band that was quickly discovered and signed by Big Boi of Outkast to his Purple Ribbon Records Label.
Kyle didn’t stop there though, he has been earning a name for himself in the hip-hop scene for years with the release of several solo mixtapes including: Kyle Lucas is My Favorite, Kyle Lucas is Still My Favorite, It’s Always Sunny In Marietta, Purple Cloud Thoughts and two critically acclaimed EP’s with producer Captain Midnite. All the while combing his love of pop punk and blending it with hip-hop. In that time he has made music with a who’s who of artists including: Big Boi of Outkast, T. Mills, Machine Gun Kelly, Will Pugh of Cartel, Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday, Outasight, and many more. As well as touring with a plethora of artists including: Sammy Adams, Chiddy Bang, G-Eazy, Mod Sun, and more with stops along the way on The Vans Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival and even the Late Show with David Letterman.
2013 is a time of promise with the highly anticipated, “It’s Always Sunny in Marietta 2” having dropped and an EP with Jonny Craig, and much more on tap.
Yep, he’s all over the place.
