She’s an absolute sweetheart with the world at her feet, we’re sure you’ll fall in love with her quickly. - Celebmix

"Kylie Video Premiere"

The enchanting Kylie Hughes leaves an indelible mark on the the kind of visceral pop which makes the greats great. On her new single Never Ever, her voice is lilting⎯a feathery and cutting delivery over a haunting piano and string arrangement. It's akin to Lana Del Rey's cinematic work but with a Taylor Swift-heavy syrup. Of course, she's not trying to be anyone but herself.

Popdust is beyond excited to exclusively drop the song's mesmerizing music video below. "I have been dumped and had my heart broken which can feel like being left at an altar," the singer shares with us of the video, which features striking shots of a forested landscape and Hughes dazzling in a wedding dress and tiara.

"There were promises which felt like broken vows, and I had to peel apart and then put my life back together, like divorce," she continues, "but in the end it's always their loss, and you probably dodged a bullet anyway for almost being with someone who didn't value you or fight for you. In the video I wanted to be very literal, ethereal and fashionable. I wanted an excuse to run through the woods in a wedding dress and wear tiaras for a day."

Never Ever is now available on iTunes. - Popdust

"Cali Ethereal Pop Songstress"

California pop songstress Kylie Hughes returns with an ethereal, visually stunning music video for her heartbreaking single, “Never Ever”. Watch here:

“Never Ever” features a more intimate, soulful sound for Kylie. Her pure vocals ring with vulnerability as she sings from the perspective of a scorned bride-to-be draped in white lace and carrying roses through a misty landscape. The hypnotically beautiful visuals–all created and designed by Kylie Hughes herself–complement her haunting, angelic vocals to a tee. - Vents Magazine

Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 19, 2016) – Pop songstress Kylie Hughes is teaming up with Popdust to premiere her new music video for her single “Never Ever”! Popdust raves, “her voice is liltinga feathery and cutting delivery over a haunting piano and string arrangement. It’s akin to Lana Del Rey‘s cinematic work but with a Taylor Swift-heavy syrup.” Blended with Hughes’ angelic vocals are the music video’s striking visuals: a single, drifting rose in misty waters, a candelabra flickering through twisted tree branches and Hughes layered in white lace and chiffon, donning a vintage tiara, just to name a few. The overall effect is mesmerizing and hauntingly tragic in the best way. Watch the music video here:

The Pepperdine graduate and California artist has many other musical accomplishments under her belt, having gigged both with her band and performed solo acoustic sets in numerous Hollywood hotspots (Viper Room, Hotel Café, House of Blues), and local clubs in and around Malibu (Malibu Inn, Sunset Lounge, Canyon Club). Additionally, the pop songstress also sang the National Anthem before a concert by John Mayer at the California Mid-State Fair; performed at the Cantinas Music Festival in Paso Robles, CA on a bill with Newsboys and MercyMe; and performed a duet in 2013 at Carnegie Hall with Michael W. Smith. The Malibu singer-songwriter has also shared the stage with Building 429 and Jesse McCartney, among others. Impressively, two of Hughes’ songs were featured in the 2013 film “Zero to 100: The Lakey Peterson Story”, and she performed her song “Paradise” at the film’s premiere in Santa Barbara, CA.
