Bio
La Casa Muerte: (pronounced: la casa m.where.tay) (translated) the house in which the Muerte Family reside. This estate, also known as The Academy of Sciences is home not only to the Muerte Family "La Familia Muerte" but to FABRik RECordS and to many a weary traveller in search of a lost oasis...
La Casa Muerte began in 2006 with Ireek Sofakia who had been song writing for some time, started throwing roof top parties where he lived and held special performances. this house which he called La Casa Muerte soon became an idea for a band after meeting drummer Bobby Lee. The band was founded early 2007 and new members we're added. the result was a wild line up of musicians and a volatile revolutionary sound. by 2009 they had really come into their own as they recorded their first EP with some help and convincing from Dean Dallas Bentley of Ian Blurton's band C'Mon and Chemical Sound Engineer Dean Marino...it was also in 2009 after being evicted from their rehearsal space that Ireek moved the band into their new space, The Academy of Sciences. by pooling all their resources and gear they now had a place where they could grow musically and throw even bigger parties and pay rent. now they are hard at work making the academy a sound environment and recording facility where they can record their first full length album
...Casa ain't just a band but a cult led by crazy face painted mystics back from the dead with a wild psych garage sound and raucous live performance. perfect for dancing and tripping out!...
