"Film Music"

By Mark Northam, publisher of Film Music Magazine

I first become acquainted with
Fariborz Lachini’s music earlier this year and immediately impressed with his unique musical voice as it applies to music written specially for film. Only after I became very interested in his music did I learn that he is the leading film composer in Iran . His music speaks with a unique voice that addresses, underscores, and complements the emotions of films he has scored in a way that I rarely see in this industry. His use of different musical instruments, especially exotic and unique instruments, is very original and lends a highly emotional tone to his music. Overall, his command of writing music for film and television is excellent and his unique music voice adds a significant element to the diversity of film music that we enjoy in the U.S. - Film Music Magazine
