Its real deal.

Ladell has been described as an artist who possesses the ability to transcend the bounds of
conventional music through his muse, the blues. Born on the South Side of Chicago, a
center for the blues, Ladell discovered the music that would be profoundly influential in his
He then worked to hone his seemingly natural talents on the guitar.
Nurtured by his musical family’s close ties to Chicago’s most notable and historic creators of
the blues, Ladell began playing at Buddy Guy’s legendary nightclub, Legends, with musicians
such as John Primer, and Eddie Burks.  Ladell then became a touring member of the James
“Blood” Ulmer and Fernando Jones' bands.
In 2005 Mclin released his first studio album, "Stand out", which featured collaborations
with Vernon Reid (of Living Colour) and David Johansen (of The New York Dolls).  Ladell
is extraordinarily able to allow listeners to hear the profound influence that the blues has had
on all genres of music.
This ability was not lost on French director, Michel Viotte, who hand picked Ladell to be the
focus of his documentary, “Sur La Route Du Blues with Ladell McLin”.  The documentary,
which aired on French TV earlier this year, chronicles the influence that the blues has had on
American culture while tracing the geographic route of the Blues from New Orleans to
Chicago. The documentary was also included at the Festival Etonnants Voyageurs in France.
The film is set for release November of 2010 by Naive/Eagle Vision label.
Ladell has also played the 2011 Montruex Jazz Festival with B.B King,Carlos Santana,Robert
Randolph,Derek Trucks,Susan Tedeschi,Shemeka Copeland, and many more!!
Sincerely yours,
Ladell Mclin
