Biography

In the summer of 2001, Alex and Dave left their current band due to creative differences. Soon after, Abe came into the mix and started to sit in while Alex experimented with a unique sound. His idea was to put a distortion pedal on his bass and play it like a guitar and so LaDezma was born. In the early days of LaDezma, there were no guitars. During this time, they worked on writing new songs and experimenting with this unique
"double-bass" sound. Eventually, LaDezma realized that they would need to incorporate a guitar to move forward as a band, Alex dropped the bass and quickly picked up the
guitar.

As a three-piece band, LaDezma was searching for one last missing piece. They knew they needed another guitar that would allow Alex to focus more on being the dynamic front man that he is. In September 2005, after months of auditions, the "piece that was missing" was finally found. Chris officially took over as lead guitar. His determination, energy, and knowledge provided the spark to push LaDezma into a new dimension.

LaDezma has been working on their album called: “Bringing It Back.” Which showcases the band’s talent for original music along with bringing their individuality to the project and sense of humor.

A different dimension was beginning to take place.  Keeping true to their original
music, they also became a highly known cover band. Playing in places like:  Murphy’s Law at The Hard Rock in Hollywood, Dicey Riley’s, O’Malley’s Sports Bar, Premier
Billiards, Jesse’s Xtreme Sports Bar, and other known places LaDezma has gone forward and made a name out for themselves in the local scene. Their style of playing cover music is unique and uplifting. While on stage the band’s energy and showmanship comes through like a freight train.

Pick Me Up

Written By: LaDezma

I wanna party and I’m out tonight
I wanna party and I’m out tonight, alright!
I want you baby I hope your fast tonight
I want you baby I hope your fast tonight, alright!

Chorus
Drink a beer it’s half past one
Sing a song and let’s have fun
If I fall then I’m alright
Just pick me up tonight

You buy a round then I buy one back
You buy a round then I buy one back alright!
I’m felling buzzed and I’m feeling jacked
I’m felling buzzed and I’m feeling jacked alright!

Yeah that’s right

Seventeen

Written By: LaDezma

Seventeen and a year to go, Will you be all mine?
Will you be too premature or will you realize.
I know you can’t see too far, but you really have to try.

Chorus

There’s some things between you and me that we have to find
And when that day comes, I believe that it’s gonna be so real.
I’m counting all the days and nights until we seal the deal

Everyday I wait and see if you call my phone
If you don’t then I’m alone, then I explode
What if you find someone else and it’s not me
What if you just go away so gracefully?

We got to find, find, find.
We got to find, find, find.

Six Pack

Written By: LaDezma

Six pack, drink it up. Take me out and have some fun.
If you don’t then I don’t care, drink it up anywhere.
Six pack, drink it up. Take me out and have some fun.
If you don’t then I don’t care, drink it up anywhere.

Chorus
Six pack, I need it always
Six pack, on those dark days
Six pack, when it’s OK
Six pack, I need it all day.

Budweiser and Miller Light, they make me feel alright.
Corona with some lime, and I’m doing just fine
And I’m feeling alright, and I’m doing just fine tonight

All I Ever Wanted

Written By: LaDezma

What’s your name? I’ve got to know.
I see you around and around and around, we go
I think of you and want you too
All I ever want is to get close to you

Chorus
All I ever wanted was you
You can have me baby just the way you want me to
All I ever wanted was you
You can have me baby just the way you want me to

I’m on your street and I’m in my car
I’ve waited for you and I want you too
Collected my thoughts and I’m taking a spill
I looked to the side and I, I have my thrill

What’s your name? I’ve got to know.
I see you around and around and around, we go go
I think of you and want you too
All I ever want is to get close to you

Bring Me Down

Written By: LaDezma

Well I’m singled out, and I’m running out
I can’t control, be alone, be against that I wanna be.

Well I’m rebellious, and I’m an Anarchist
It take’s me mile after mile just to see
What the hell is in front of me

So come on kids,

Chrorus

This world will never bring me down
No, no, no this world will never bring mew down

I’m wrapped around this world’s society
I can’t control these feelings inside of me

Singled out, running out, can’t control, be alone, be against,
everything rebellious, and anarchist.

Discography

We have had demos since 2002, our first demo called "We Don't Need No Stinking Guitars" was a concept we were working on. We would use two basses one distorted and one clean. A year and a half after we began we hit a plateu in our music. We discontinued the two basses and Alex has played guitar since then.

We have had another 3 demos in the years since, but our newest demo released in 2007 called "Bringing it Back" has brought us from a simple bass concept to melodic guitars and hard core, energetic music thanks to Chris and Alex hard work.
