Bio

Our influences include the likes of Bolt Thrower, Cassius, Blackstrobe, Justice, the Bloody Beetroots, Diplo, the Toxic Avenger, Felix Cartal, Rage Against the Machine, Wu-Tang, King Khan and the Shrines, Ministry, the Walkmen, and Led Zeppelin. Keep in mind that this is only the tip of the iceberg. LADUKE draws influence from all angles. Every sense leads to a new movement in the music of LADUKE.

What sets LADUKE apart from the rest of the electronic/dance outfits based out of Indianapolis? Two things. First, LADUKe comes equipped with a full media detail. For every show, we bring at least three professional journalists and eventually publish the material from the show (i.e. every artist and explosion) through Indie Volumes Magazine. Second, LADUKE always packs a surprise! Both of these traits are quite unique and make LADUKE a force to be reckoned with in the Indianapolis music scene.

Briefly, LaDUKE began 4 years ago when "BOY" was asked by one of the local Junkie Elite to open for them in East Lansing, Michigan. It was small venue, about 150 capacity, and hot. I mean hot! Over 90 degrees outside and clearly over 100 inside with no A/C and only a handful of breeze. No matter, the show went on, and LaDukE murdered their set! People went completely mental! And with the charge of this show, LADuKE began playing house shows, small venues, college tours, and fashion-related events under such names as "STAYBA" and "BOYS ON CRITTERS". Later, about 2 years to be exact, "BOY" met "GIRL" at a mutual friends condo well into the Chicago pre-dawn, who eventually added the fresh set of crystals and raw talent to LADUKE; critical missing elements. Today, LADUKE spends a great deal of time opening for local bands in Indianapolis and surrounding areas leaving a trail of worn-out shoes and broken hearts behind them. In the future, LADUKE hopes to continue playing shows locally and eventually get back onto the road in the Summer of 2009. At current, LADUKE is open to ideas in the Midwest and beyond...
