Lady J

LadyJ was born and raised in Long Beach, California. As a child, she has always been aware of her surroundings.
Exposed to a large variety of music (mostly R&B) by her mother, whom she called “The R&B Queen.” She found a passion for hip hop music after watching the film “8 Mile.” Soon after watching the movie she began to rap with the kids around her block. Her passion for hip hop soon branched toward her leaning about all of the aspects of the culture. This resulted in her knowing at a young age what she was destined to do as a profession.
At the age of fifteen, her and her family packed they’re things and moved to Maryland. Since moving, she has become even more serious about hip hop and has honed her skills. “J”` has attended and graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in 2008. She earned a certification in Pro Tools, as well as having several internships with Washington D.C. area recording studios.
She is now perfecting her skills, growing her network, and booking shows all over dc and the east coast. During these events she found herself being increasingly amused with gaming, anime, and the otaku culture, in which becoming another part of her musical inspirations. LadyJ’s goal is bring her natural element into the world of music world “Nerdcore” along with her knowledge, engineering, songwriting, fun filled freestyles, video editing, encouragement, and other songs to help people enjoy life and be motivated in anyhting they need motivation for.
