At an early age, she began perfecting her abilities at New Bethel Holiness #5 singing with her sisters. Then realizing that she wanted to perform professionally, she formed the R&B group 4foru2nv. Thus introducing her proficiency as a lyricist and performing in their first show at Hampton St. Auditorium at age 12. Continuing on her arduous journey to success, Messiah decided at 16 to join another all girl R&B group and enter locally held talent shows. After high school she adopted the idea to move to Brooklyn, New York in 2000 where she stumbled upon LL Cool Js record label titled Rock the Bells. By age 20, she had worked alongside well-known producers such as Kiyama and Floyd, who has in turn, worked with such artist as Mary J. Blige. Making a conscious decision to reunite with the group she pioneered, in 2001, auditioning for an independent label in New York 4foru2nv was offered a contract and worked under the label for 2 years. In 2002, given the opportunity to link with another group in Brooklyn and record at Bad Boys studio in Manhattan under C-4s management, she became involved in several shows. Sustaining her expertise and experiences through the years, Messiah took a chance and migrated back home to South Carolina, where with manager Delores Williams, co-founded their independent label, Trois Entertainment. She added notches to her belt when she came to be the companys production manager and vocal instructor. Messiah accomplished her first solo show in September 2007 and incessantly strives to be heard through her music.
She recently started her hip hop artistry and has already taken the movement by storm. Her music has been known to inspire those from all walks of life, touching both the young and old, making her indeed a quintessential part of this industry.
