Lady V

Lady V is a Breezy Brunette born, raised and still resides in Sierra Madre a small town north-east of Los Angeles. This female MC/Songwriter is promoting the peace pipe while hitting positive heights all around L.A. Dedicated to spreading awareness that Peace has been perceived before, however has become invisible to society. Growing up submerged into a musically eclectic household, by nature she was always performing or asking for new instruments to experiment with, analyzing lyrics, singing along to her parent’s favorite albums, and even recording over her sibling’s favorite cassette tapes. This was an undying love since she was a toddler. Her mother being a huge fan of classic rock Lady V’s biggest female inspirations are artist like Janis Joplin, Joan Baez, Stevie Knicks, Rita Coolidge, and her list goes on and on.. She says that “Music was not only a sound in the 60’s, it was a movement full of feeling and emotion…the lyrics were the heroin, the music was the needle and the combination of the two was the euphoric high” In 6th grade Lady V wrote and performed her first speech, in which ironically was a poem. Since then she has been a daily active poet, like your morning cup of coffee; Rhyming and emotion runs through her veins. She began free styling as a hobby with her older sister, and ventured on into high school doing it to express her thoughts and feelings in that moment. However through out high school her poetry remained a very personal, introspect of the enormous changes she was facing. Mom and Dad of 27 years decided to split, and Lady V had nothing else to turn to but her music and poetry. At the age of 21, Lady V’s story could fill multiple chapters, but to spare you, she offers her story through her music. This year 2011, she will be releasing her album titled “A PEACE of V”. With more ideas and projects already in the works, her creativity and ability to write is endless. Lady V is on the rise, get your telescopes ready.
