"GenX Records Review"

"La For Another is beyond a Baltimore staple; they are the directed sound of today’s youth, channeling the sounds of Paramore and early No Doubt into a tight, precise blend of pop-punk energy. They are the candy crunch sound of pop-rocks mixed with highly caffeinated cola, blended until stage ready. With a sound that trends from high-stream full attack audio to mellow, Nora Jones-esq tranquility, they straddle the fine refined line of over the top grrrl rock that so often goes astray when the volume comes down a notch. With songs like Lullaby, they take their craft to a new level of intricacy, dialed down for long drives home after the show. Crackly guitars on Dodging Traffic remind their mainstream that rock sounds best at high amplitudes- pushing the volume past 10, and throwing a rock fist high in the air for pop-rock attitude." -Chris Henry - Chris Henry of GenX Records

"Aditi Promotions Review"

"The Donna’s have nothing on Maryland’s amazing local all girl band La For Another. With amazing musical talent and awesome personality, there isn’t anything you can’t love about them. They are one of very, very few all girl bands in Maryland that have fully grabbed my attention. Christine, Alivia, Rachael, and Delaney, have proven that the local music scene is much more than just boy bands. They are just all around one of the bands you should watch out for in 2009. Their lyrics, and beats are catchy, and are those that will get stuck in your head for days on end. Believe me I know. Aditi feels La For Another ranks into the top 10 bands in the Aditi Family. There is no other band like them, nothing can compare to La For Another, and that’s a fact!" -Aditi Promotions - Aditi Promo

Bio

In 2007, lead guitarist and songwriter Alivia met drummer Rachael through a flyer at a local rock climbing center. They jammed covers and wrote a few songs before finding bassist Delaney in March of 2008 through Facebook. Tara found the band through a Craigslist ad and solidified the line up as a rhythm guitarist in January 2009. After going through two singers, Alivia stepped up and took over lead vocals. With combined influences of Punk, Rock, Pop/Punk, and a little bit of everything else, La For Another creates a sound that can catch everyone's attention and have them singing along in no time. The four piece has been successful in the Baltimore area and has played most of the major venues around town including, Recher Theatre, The Quarter at Bourbon Street, Sonar, and Rams Head Live. 98 Rock's Matt Davis has featured La For Another on his local music show, Noise in the Basement, multiple times including three live interviews with airplay and a show at Fletchers as well one at The Quarter. They have well over 50 shows under their belt with well known local bands as well as a few national acts including Mercy Mercedes, Rookie of the Year, and Eye Alaska. The young ladies have drawn over 100 fans to shows of all ages and genders. In late 2009, the 7 song EP titled "Not Dolls, Action Figures" was released and can be purchased at any show or on iTunes. With their catchy songs and covers, such as Rihanna's Shut up and Drive, everyone is bound to have an amazing time watching these talented ladies at a La concert.
