Bio
Lagerhead consists of four extremely dedicated musicians who are determined to always play a tight set and put on a good show. From festivals to clubs, their sound is always crowd pleasing.
Lagerhead's goal is to create their own unique sound with the original music that they write, just as their influences have done before them. Their heroes include Medeski, Martin, and Wood, Primus, Charlie Hunter, Moe., and Leftover Salmon.
Lagerhead's original music is what sets them apart from other bands. Each member had training in completley different backrounds, and when those stlyes are combined, their chemistry puts out a mesmerizing sound that pulls listeners in from the very beginning. The strong solos and seamless transitions are high points in every show and they have their own take on other people's music. Their covers include renditions of jazz tunes such as Gibralter, Red Clay, and Little Sunflower and they even take a turn and cover Primus's My Name is Mud. Or, they switch it up with a little bluegrass and play The Devil Went Down to Georgia. The crowd's favorite, though, are their originals, which are mostly instrumental. The music stays with listeners long after the show.
