Hailing from Beamsville, St Catherines, and Hamilton, these 5 dudes found each other through playing together in various bands over the years. With a common goal to get back to their roots, LTR was formed and that's where the party started. Coming out of bands such as Chokehold, The Norris Wing, Hatchetface and Riot Brigade, the hardcore, punk rock and thrash influences are immediately obvious. While maintaining an originality and authenticity not seen since the early days of Suicidal Tendencies or even D.R.I., LAID TO REST represents all the killer aspects that thrash metal represents from the band's look to their attitude, stage show to their sound. LAID TO REST has shared the stage with such acts Dayglo Abortions, Agressor, Fuck the Facts, Gypsy Chief Goliath, and Diemonds. LTR leaves the "fake stage anger" and black clothes for other bands to capitalize on, by bringing a fun "let's have a keg party!!" feel to the band that allows the listener/show goer to instantly connect with the band. Couple that with a punk rock approach to a technically savage sound, LAID TO REST's music stands out in a scene filled with dated sound alikes. Every band has their place in the scene but why not stand out?! LTR does just that and might even make you pee in your pants.
