Bio

21 year old La June Yevette has a spirit and an anointing that is sure to take the industry by force. She has a voice that has been compared to many greats such as Minnie Rippeton and Cece Winans, yet still maintains a level of humbleness that is not seen often in this industry. La June has sung with nationally acclaimed choirs such as The Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit and The Boys and Girls Choir of Detroit. After an eye opening experience, La June made the choice not to hide her gift and to reach others that many times are forgotten.

On the forth of July, when most people are visiting family or at some ones cookout, La June was in a hospital wondering why her sight had left. The doctor informed her that she had too much fluid in her spine that was causing massive pressure on her brain. After an emergency procedure, La June thought everything was ok. Come to find out the procedure had caused her to have debilitating headaches. She was then started on an antibiotic that supposed to get rid of the headaches and the excess fluid. When she went to the doctor for a follow up appointment, they asked her about what she was prescribed. When she showed them the medication, the doctors did another check of her eyes. All the swelling had went down, but the dosage she was prescribed was not enough to have any effect on her condition. This experience Showed La June that the activities of our limbs are controlled by god and not the Doctors or medication.

Currently a member of Greater Emanuel institutional Church of God in Christ, La June is ready, willing and able to spread the good news.” I want to reach the people who don’t go to church. I want to reach the ones who feel alone and let them know that not only does God love you but I do to. I want people to realize that my music is real, how I feel, what I see, and all about who I love.
