Bio

La Kasquivana is an independent expression but is not isolated into the musical industry. They have made their own way since the earliest 2008, building a structure that has let them work since then. However they have the clear idea that in order to make a change, first we have to become one. That’s why La Kasquivana’s structure has been professionalizing with the goal of managing a cultural movement that can come true.
The mask is a symbol of human’s being equality and the social union. Two concepts that don’t try to create a society without distinction, on the contrary, La Kasquivana supports the right that each person has to find their own way of appropriation. Inside the concepts of identity and equality we can find what makes us unique.
The musical genre of La Kasquivana is part of the inevitable in our society: the fusion. Takes the Ska as the principal element in their composition but it is fed with different genres like reggae, rock, funk, punk and popular Mexican music. Its bases are clear but it is in constant communication with its context. The letter´s songs are provocative but are also in favor to the pacific movement. La Kasquivana knows that a revolution is needed, but it most come inside each human being, without guns or violence.
