Lake Effekt

In the spring of 2004, four very different young musician’s paths, from four different parts of the world, were destined to collide. Little did anyone know that this “happen chance” meeting, would lead to a creative brother hood that no outside entity could tear apart. This brotherhood was forged by the ability together to create sonically powerful mainstream rock music!! They knew from the start they had something magical together!! Their songs had depth and meaning, with a musicality that would stand on its own. They proceeded to polish a very diverse sound from rocking the house down, to the soulful ballads, and all points in between. When you see them on stage it quickly becomes evident these guys have put their work in, and perform each song with an unmatched passion. With the release of their first full CD in the spring of 2006, (The Falls), everyone around them understood that this was something special. Then in 2008 their released of the DVD/CD combo of “Live at the Orange Peel”, was received to great reviews. Late in the year 2008 they embarked on their most ambitious studio project to date. They decided record a 3 song EP at the highest quality, and as sonically powerful has they could make it. It was very important that the essence of the songs was captured in studio. Lead vocalist Jay Goodson put it best “Every song we write has meaning and a message that must be kept in tact”. They entered the studio with producer/engineer James Harley and Jeremy Tappero and successfully captured the powerful sound that is represented at every live show!! With Grammy winning Steve Hodge at the mixing board the true Lake Effekt sound came alive. The EP show cases evident musical growth and provides the necessary elements that conveys who they are and what their about!!
