Biography

Lake Of Bass started as a art show where poetry and songs were justaposed with self made film clips. T-Mac in a period of madness embarked upon this one man show and it almost destoyed him...The backing music was made by another madman Diego. Together they embarked upon 3 albums of similar stuff...mixing all sounds and styles in a melting pot that had elements of electro, soul jazz, funk, folk, hip-hop, breakbeats, latin and even classical. Lake Of Bass asked great singers and musicians to play with them and created three albums 'Deep Dark Jazz', 'Wildlife Researcher'and the latest 'Coincidence Control'. As a live band Lake OF Bass try to have an energy that 'rocks your socks off' but with the albums they like to give you a constant flow and groove so cool you could brush your teeth with it. The style is very mixed yet the lyics tie it together into a tasty package indeed. Lake Of Bass also make their own filmclips All have been W.A. screen awards finalists, which is not bad considering their budgets have never exceeded $600 (Aust)

Lyrics

Hit 5

Written By: Lake of Bass

Here is a band for you… of the times that have made me blue, you are just the one.

Ladies and gentlemen right now were going to turn down the volume, and turn up the cosmic vibrato.

And having abandoned my search for the truth, I’m now looking for a good fantasy.

What to do, how to re-arrange, my life’s in turmoil have to make a change. Just like a song when you sing the same old croon, first change the words, and then change the tune, change the tune…

And when I see the world a-choke, stuffed with fumes and diet croak,
I will not play your games, life dies and you remain, life dies and you remain, life dies and you remain.

Waiting by the stars I feel that someone’s around, I ain’t felt that way since my feet left the ground,

I’ve seen the men of green go by, flown up to touch the sky, seen the world as it stands today, being green just doesn’t pay.

Ladies and gentlemen right now were going to turn dow

Chaos Theory

Written By: Tim Macnamara

Chaos theory is lovin me,
Turn my traffic lights togreen
The chaos steers me forever on this time.

chorus
Butterflys make tidal waves,
One red sock in another place,
The world I kill when I stub my toe,
And the banks that break from the overflow.

Chaos theory is buggin me,
Turn my traffic lights to red
The chaos rears its ugly headthen smiles.

chorus
Butterflys make tidal waves,
One red sock in another place,
The world I kill when I stub my toe,
And the banks that break from the overflow.

Chaos theory is driving me,
Turn my traffic lights in between
The chaos deals life on a dime that it steals

chorus
Butterflys make tidal waves,
One red sock in another place,
The world I kill when I stub my toe,
And the banks that break from the overflow.

So I thought for an hour or more
Let that chaos come through your door,
If it wont effect me there is no time
If it dont affect you, youre not alive.

And the calm world staring to lean, we move backwards towards the sea, we control the traffic and all the schemes, but then all the physics came back to me.

Left me feelin not quite right, not too big, not too bright, the chaos is me and it is my right let that butterfly take its flight.

chorus
Butterflys make tidal waves,
One red sock in another place,
The world I kill when I stub my toe,
And the banks that break from the overflow.

Sombre Yet Happy

Written By: Tim Macnamara

Springy days pass me by
Autumn leaves stain my feet
Summer rain my sun dont shine
Winter winds broke washing line

And I stay.. sombre and happy
And I remain. sombre yet happy

Stolen looks I get caught,
Careless eyes caress my face,
Drive away you turn to go,
Tyre screams you broke my toe

And I stay.. sombre and happy
And I remain. sombre yet happy yet happy.

Dirty streets tired and grey,
People look smile and frown,
Warming breeze wind of change,
Morning dew your face remains.

And I stay.. sombre and happy
And I remain. sombre yet happy yet happy
